A place dreamed as an ideal one
Known not for what good reason
And desired to visit and to walk its streets
Some dream place, to be in, one likes
For something that imagination
Add to a place of one’s appreciation
Now here I am – in Heidelberg,
I have walked its streets
Entered its churches
Attended a worship at Jesuiten Kirche
Visited its Marktplatz and Brücke
Read through the history of this town
A university city with its one third known
Population being students nationwide
With an interdenominational and side
An intercultural and religious place,
The Asian Studies Centre of Karl Jaspers,
Scholars and the Research Institutes
The station with its Christmas theme
Billboards reminding of Advent as meme
The cold air of minus temperatures
Despite the warm sun shining in measures
The cold air pierces the chest, and needing
Yet another layer for comfort in feeding
Am waiting for him, my friend, in motion
To arrive and have food at the station
Before my departure to yet another city.
