Your Welt, Seine World

Your Welt, Seine World

You don’t see the world for anyone other than yourself.
You don’t see the world other than the way you see it.
You don’t see the world the way you do
Thinking someone else will see the same way.
Do you ever capture the world that another has expressed?
These are thoughts that float my mind,
Even as the waves splash in succession
Over the Aptos beach in California.
The birds flying solo, as to embrace the waves
Those that dip to get a catch,  those that float in the water.
Those that soar, High yet alone, and another in flock
Over the beach against the horizon into the evening.
The setting sun, the blue sky, with clouds,
All the way to the invisible edge,
Wishing goodbye to the setting sun,
The mountain slopes, descending into the sea.
There is peace that the ocean manufactures yonder,
Truly earning it the name the Pacific.
A gentleness indeed, oft unfathomed
Mellowed as the waves come caressing the shore.
No one there to meddle, to peddle,
Only silence, a loneliness that strain
Even a mighty ocean vast in its spread
Is it out there, or is it just your worldview?
The way you see, the way you feel
The way you feel in the way you see
The way you see because of the way you feel
What is it that brings calm to the inner soul?
Is it the chirping of the birds,
The sound of the waves
The cool breeze
The soothing colours of the Willows.
The delicate slopes that may ever give way
The sacred ambience of Camp St Francis
What is it that creates this unique feeling?
Is it mine? Or yours? Or to be written off for the Immutable?
