Becoming the embodiment of the
One whom you admire, venerate
Transposing across time
Into your life in Imitation of his/hers
Being recognised as he/she is in being
placed on a pedestal.
A recognition of ‘greatness’, ‘sanctity’, ‘valour’
Becoming the one whom you worship
You became the God you worship
You are in the lineage of the one
The one who is your source and motivation
Is a strange thought
Almost wayward and yet
Does it hold water that
You were drawn into the fold
Lived in initiation and as even more
As a Double in the World
To accomplish what s/he did in his /hers
If only time assessed the place and the
struggles you were in yours with his/hers
and placed in comparison – would
you chance the stand.
