A Prayer and a Comment

A Prayer and a Comment

O Priest, who are you?
You do not exist by your own merit because you are drawn from nothing.
You do not exist for yourself because you must serve as my mediator to men.
You do not belong to yourself because you have the Church as your Spouse.
But you are not master of yourself because you must be servant to all.
You are not yours because you are God’s.
Who are you then? Nothing and everything!
(St. John Chrysostom)
